Long Green Jaws is a duo of artist/musicians, Sarah McWhinney and Fergus Hall, creating sounds and light projections inspired by coastal ecologies and ocean folklore. Our music combines textural sounds of water (plops, sloshes, gurgles and drones) with acoustic cello, fiddle, vocals and live electronic processing. We developed a full show in 2022/23 called Into the Long Green Jaws with support from Taigh Chearsabhagh, Puppet Animation Scotland and Creative Scotland. An early version was performed at MANIPULATE Festival 2023. We are currently working to develop this work further with the hope of bring our work to wider audiences in the near future.
